The Informative eBook “Fight Cancer with a Ketogenic Diet”

Dominic D’Agostino serves as an assistant professor of molecular pharmacology and physiology at the University of South Florida’s Morsani College of Medicine and has done research on conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease and cancer. Dominic D’Agostino has a particular focus on nutritional and metabolic therapies, including ketogenic diets. In that regard, he was the scientific editor of the book Fight Cancer with a Ketogenic Diet, and proceeds from this book help support cancer research.

The 120-page eBook looks in depth at the ketogenic diet, a scientific, high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that cuts back on the carbohydrates that become the blood sugar (glucose) that cancer cells require to survive. The book explains fully how the ketogenic diet functions and details the ketone and blood glucose levels that must be achieved in order to start eliminating cancer cells.

In several podcasts and interviews Dr. D’Agostino also explains portion control and the restriction of certain foods, as well as short term therapeutic fasting and overall caloric limitations.
